ND Part II

My uncle, Gerald, and my aunt, Peggy, with Scott's baby.
7-4-07

My mom, Lacey, and I said goodbye to my dad and us three headed towards Dickinson. Our plans were to stop in Bismarck and see my Aunt, Peggy, and Uncle, Gerald. We had to take two cars up to Bismarck because Lacey had to go to work on Friday morning. We parked Lacey's car at their place and we would pick it up Thursday night. It would be faster driving from Bismarck to Fargo. While our visit with Peggy and Gerald, my cousin, Scott, his baby was with them. It was my first time seeing him! He is such a sweet baby. After a couple hours, we said goodbye to them and proceeded to Dickinson to see my aunt, Cheryl, and uncle, Joel. At my Aunt's house, my grandpa and grandma Fischer were there. After my grandparents left, we went to a bar and grill called Liquid. We were going to meet up with Joel's brother and his family. We were all acquainted with each other and had a pretty good 4th of July.

Today we were going to see my cousin, Jessica, and her new baby, Tahj. What a cutie he is. Visited with Jessica and her baby and my aunt, Carleen. She came over to the house after she was down with work. Later on, Cheryl came over to the house too. After a while, we all said goodbye and my mom, Lacey, and I headed towards Medora. Our plan was to take a golf cart ride through Medora's new golf course, The Bully Pit. We got there and discovered they stopped doing that. We had a lot of time before the Medora Musical started, so we decided to go through the National park and do some driving around the historical town.

The musical didn't get over until 11:00 pm MT time. And Lacey and I had to drive to Fargo yet! Plus we gained an hour, because we are Central time. So we had a 329 mile drive to do! And Lacey had to work at 9:00 in the morning. I drove to Bismarck while my mom was getting some rest. Picked up Lacey's car and us two started towards Fargo and my mom was heading home. The drive actually went pretty fast. We arrived in Fargo about 4:30 am. So Lacey and I drove from the west side to the east side of ND. That was fun! Later that afternoon, Robert was going to drive from Minneapolis to Fargo and picked me up and we both headed to Wishek! I was so happy Robert was able to come and see my family. It was really sweet of him too. I have the best boyfriend in the world! :) When we arrived in Wishek, I had to go to the fairgrounds and meet some of my friends. That weekend the big Tri-County Fair was going on. Met my friends out there and we all decided to get a couple drinks at our local bar.

My whole family was home again!! It was great having everybody there. I wish I could freeze time when I am home visiting :) Lance, Tammy, Lacey, my dad, Robert and I all went golfing. Spent the afternoon golfing and we were all going to go to the bullarama at the fairgrounds. After the bullarama, Robert, Lacey and I stayed at the fairgrounds to meet up with our friends. The Roosters were the entertainment band that night.

7-8-07 We all got our butts out of bed and went to church. My mom made us lunch and this time we all went golfing again. My mom and my nieces came out this time. It was so much fun. Later that afternoon I had to say goodbye to Lance and his family :( and Robert left to go back to Minneapolis. Lacey and I were going to stay one more day. My mom took work off, so we were going to spend the afternoon with her.

It was happy I was able to see her and her Lydia. Later we drove back to Fargo and went to Dacy's house on more time to say goodbye :( **Lacey and Spirit, Dacy's cat, playing Guitar Hero. :)

Lacey took me to the airport. And I had to say goodbye to her. Again my vacation to ND just flew bye. I couldn't believe it was over already. I wish I could spend more time with my family, friends and my best friend in the whole world, Lacey. Miss you and Love you very much.

Little did I know, my day only gets worse. Towards the end of my vacation, I got sick. More like a sinus congestion. Flying to Minneapolis wasn't a bad flight, besides the fact that I was crying on the plane...already missing my family. I get to the airport and I just feel like crap. I had such a headache and I was just congested. So, I am looking for some sinus medication, and I could only find Benadryl. Benadryl really makes a person pretty drowsy. I arrived in Minneapolis around 5:30. My flight to Sacramento was at 9:15. Thank goodness Robert was going with me to Sacramento and plus he got off of work early to keep me company. I was so happy he did that. What a sweetheart or should I say "sweatheart", Robert? :) Anyways, finally we got on the plane and off we went. The flight went fine until the end. As we were descending, my ears were hurting so bad! First of all, I was so congested. So when we were descending, I had a lot of pressure in my ears and my ears just started ringing and hurting. It was so bad, I was nearly in tears. Once we got off that darn plane, I had only one ear popped. So I am walking around with one plugged ear. I am in just a foul mood, poor Robert. So now we are waiting for my luggage and mine doesn't come. It is 11:00 am and I am tired, not feeling good, one ear plugged, and now my luggage is lost! Oh my gosh! So we go to the lost luggage department and fill out forms for it. We found out my luggage went to NC! I wouldn't care too much if it took a couple of days for my luggage to come, but Scott, Melissa, Robert, and I were leaving early Friday morning to drive to Salt Lake City. So I needed my luggage.

7-12-07 - Happy Birthday Mom!

The lost luggage department told us that my luggage was suppose to be on the 7:00 pm flight today. So, I was pretty excited and hoping that it will be here. Robert and I went to the mall to pick up a couple of shirts just in case it didn't arrive in time before we took of to SLC. Drove to the airport and waited for the luggage to get off the 7:00 flight. Waited to the end, no luggage. I am upset... poor Robert. Talk to the lost luggage dept. again and told us it might be on the 11:00 flight tonight. She told us she would give us a call if my luggage arrived. I was like yeah whatever, I won't have my luggage in time. Later that night, Scott and Melissa arrived at our apartment. And to my surprise, at 11:30 the lost luggage dept. called and said they had it!! Let's just say that made my day. Back to happy Liza Jo :) Sorry, I have a caffeine buzz going on here :) Friday morning, my dearest Robert got himself out of bed at 4:15 am to drive to the airport and pick up my luggage.
