Halloween in San Francisco

Happy Halloween everybody! This past Saturday Robert and I went to San Francisco. We met up with our good friends Melissa, Scott, and John. We all got ready at Scott's apartment. Scott being Dark Angel, Melissa as Rainbow Bright, Robert as Slim Jim and I as a Can-Can girl.

We took a cab to the Dirty Martini. We all got a table and started to play some pool. It was a great time there, but nobody was dressed in costumes except for the cocktail waitresses and the bartenders. So we decided to hit the streets and walk somewhere else to blend in with the crowd.

On our journey to the next bar, Rainbow Bright and Slim Jim took everyone's attention. Lots of people were giving Slim Jim some high fives and Rainbow Bright was getting a lot of compliments on her costume. It was pretty funny to see the crowd reacting to their costumes.

When we hit the next bar, we found tons of people wearing costumes. Had a couple drinks there and Scott knew of a friend who was throwing a house party. So we decided to start walking to the party. The party was lame so we decided to venture to one more bar where we knew the bartender. By this time my feet are killing me, note to myself...never, ever where brand new shoes when you are planning to go to SF! My gosh! Did I suffer the consequences the next morning, oh well, it was worth it and I would do it again :)

Snap into a Slim Jim. Oh Yeah!

Fleet Week in San Francisco

Robert and I had a great Fleet Week weekend with Melissa and Scott in San Francisco. Early Saturday morning Robert and I headed towards San Francisco. We met up with Scott and Melissa and started to walk to Marina Greens to watch the Red Bull Air Race World Series. Kirby Chambliss USA with the time of 02:39.83 won the race. I got these photos from the Red Bull Air Racing website. After the the Red Bull races, the Air Show and the Blue Angels started.

Sunday afternoon Melissa and Scott drove us to the Twin Peaks in San Francisco. What a beautiful spot to take a panarama picture of the city!

Once I got my breath back from the gorgeous view of San Francisco, we headed towards Lake Merced. The lake is fed by an underground spring, and at one time it did have an outlet to the ocean. You can see in this picture how close the lake is to the ocean.
